Why an accurate metering before shape-moulding matters
When shape-moulding the ratio between recycled EPS or EPP beads and the new beads is crucial to generate the highest possible value. To ensure an accurate and optimum metering of the pre-expanded beads before shape-moulding, KBM has designed the Styromix system.
Unlike other systems the KBM Styromix system accurately mixes granulated and dust extracted EPS or EPP beads before the materials even reach the hopper on the shape-moulding units. Thereby, the de-mixing of the materials is minimized or even eliminated. In most cases, this specific feature will make it possible for you to bring the recycled beads into the shape-moulding at a ratio of10 to 20 percent. This will enable you to generate the highest possible value from the recycled foam beads.
